Former World Champion Glen English to Rev Up for Racing Comeback at Manx GP

A seasoned competitor with an impressive resume, Glen English is gearing up for a racing return to the Isle of Man this month. Having previously won the Manx GP and shared a podium with the legendary Joey Dunlop, English is no stranger to success on the track. He has also been a former teammate to the iconic John McGuinness, adding to his list of accomplishments in the world of motorcycle racing.

English, a former FIM Classic Bike World Champion, will be competing in the four-lap Carole Nash Classic Senior race on a 500cc Manx Norton. Representing the Melbray London/Watch Vault/The Shed team, English is ready to take on the challenging course once again. The Hayle resident made his debut on the Isle of Man in 1990 and will also be participating in the 2 Wheeling Classics Classic Junior race, this time riding a 350cc Honda K4.

Reflecting on his past performances at the Isle of Man TT, English looks back on his success in the 1996 Ultra-Lightweight 125cc race, where he secured a third-place finish behind the great Joey Dunlop. In addition to his achievements in the lightweight category, English has also impressed in the Lightweight 250cc and Supersport 400cc events, securing top twenty finishes. His fastest lap on the TT course was clocked at 111.800mph during the 1995 Senior race, highlighting his skill and speed on the track.

As English prepares for his upcoming races on the Isle of Man, fans and fellow competitors are eager to see him back in action.
