This week, the North West 200 is set to take place on the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland. The highly anticipated event will see top riders like Glenn Irwin competing for glory. Irwin, who is aiming for his ninth win at the North West 200, is a force to be reckoned with on the track. However, the absence of 29-time winner Alastair Seeley will be felt during the event.
Glenn Irwin was able to secure his third Superbike race win of the week at the North West 200, extending his winning streak to an impressive 11 victories. The battle between Irwin and Todd in the final lap was intense, mirroring the competition seen in the previous Superbike-class races earlier in the week.
As the race came down to the wire, Todd managed to overtake Irwin between Station and University using the strong BMW bike to his advantage. Irwin, however, quickly retaliated as they approached the braking zone for University. With exceptional skill, Irwin navigated through the Link, Mather’s Chicane, and Magherabuoy, keeping Todd at bay until the finish line at Metropole. Todd was left with no opportunities to make a move as Irwin expertly defended his position through Juniper.
The excitement and thrill of the North West 200 at the Causeway Coast continue to captivate fans and riders alike. Stay tuned for all the 2024 North West 200 results right here as the event unfolds.
